Our World Languages Program
Our mission is to teach our students to communicate in the target language and to give them an understanding of cultures where that language is spoken. We use varied and creative activities to teach the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Our goal is to create and encourage lifelong learners of other languages.

About Laura D'Orlando
I was born and raised in Uruguay, where I got my degree in English-Spanish translation. I moved to the United States to attend graduate school, met my husband, and started a family. We have three children aged 11, 9, and 6. I have a master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Brigham Young University and a master's degree in education with an emphasis in Spanish teaching from the University of Arizona. I love teaching, and I am looking forward to working at Queen Creek High School!
