Our Choir Program
Queen Creek High School's Chorale program has been steadily growing over the past several years. We offer two different choirs, a Women's Vocal Ensemble, and The Chorale, which is a SATB choir. Our choirs have sung and performed in various Arizona music festivals, and all over the United States. Some of our students have gone on to sing in various university honors choirs.
The Women's Vocal Ensemble is an ensemble for any beginning or intermediate level female singer. Students will learn basic vocal technique, music reading skills, and performance techniques. This course is open to all women grades 9-12 and is a yearlong course for 1 fine arts credit. Attendance at all concerts and festivals will be mandatory. All females are welcome in this ensemble and no audition is required!
The Chorale is an ensemble for any beginning to advanced male singers and advanced female singers. We expect students to sing with accurate pitch, a round tone, and clear diction. Music will be in 3 or 4 part harmony. We will study and perform choral literature ranging from classical to jazz. Attendance at all concerts and festivals will be mandatory. This course is open to students grades 9-12 and is a yearlong course for 1 fine arts credit. All students must audition or have a recommendation from the director! We hold auditions once a year in conjunction with the counseling office's registration schedule, but if you need an additional audition time, please contact the director.
